Ongoing Adult Formation is an important part of the life of our parish.  We all need to grow in our knowledge and love of the Faith.

To help us to achieve this we run different programmes that aim to provide resources and information to our parishioners.  The tabs below provide more information on the different areas of Adult Formation in our parish.

Programmes

Alpha is a series of sessions that explore the Christian faith from a non-denominational perspective. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation and build community. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone's welcome. It runs in cafés, churches, universities, homes—you name it. No two Alphas look the same, but generally they have three key things in common: food, a talk and good conversation.

First up there's

Food
We meet at 6.30pm in our Parish Hall to share a meal (and some wine) together as friends who have questions around Christianity.

Then a Talk
The talks are designed to engage and inspire conversation. Usually around thirty minutes long and delivered over about eleven weeks in an entertaining and inspiring DVD format. They explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions from Who is Jesus? and How can we have faith? to Why and how do I pray? and How does God guide us?

The course runs for 12 consecutive weeks and includes a weekend away.

For any further questions please contact the parish office on 031 563 5554.

This is a vibrant and passionate group of Young Adults from the ages of 20-35yrs who are looking to deepen their relationship with Jesus and learn more about the richness of the Catholic faith.

This group meets once a month for dinner and an inspirational talk on topics that are at the heart of young adults seeking to live a life of faith in the challenging world of today.

Starting in 2017 the group has hosted numerous talks by priests and lay experts on topics that are important, and of interest, to the young Catholic adult of today.

The evenings are well-balanced with great spiritual enrichment as well as a social opportunity to meet other like-minded Catholics from a variety of parishes who are looking to deepen their faith.

All are welcome to attend the events.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process by which adults are prepared for initiation into the Catholic Church. The process includes teaching, reflection on the Word of God, prayer, community activities and support from others. The RCIA process is led by a team of lay church members, with the support and participation of the parish priest.
